Techie Tuesday: Pop Your Google Bubble, Do Duckies Instead!

Those of you who use my site with Tampa Bay links JackBeQuick.com as your home page probably noticed that I changed search engines from Google to Duck Duck Go.  Why?  Foremost is because they don’t filter out the results to give you what they think you want to see. Google keeps you in an information bubble because they track your every keystroke and create custom results based on your personal history.  But Duck Duck Go actually does what a search engine is supposed to do and give you all the results, not their selections just for you.  Find out more about Duck Duck Go and consider using them as your preferred search engine and see how they even mask your identity to get the Google goodies anonymously.

Check out the illustrated search privacy guides at donttrack.us and dontbubble.us.

DuckDuckGo does not collect or share personal information. That is their privacy policy in a nutshell. The links below help to explain why you should care.
