Thirsty Thursday: Eat & Drink at Tonight’s Sustainable Buzz!

Got palate? Join me tonight at the Straz Center Riverwalk for another Sustainable Buzz!
Tonight is the big night and as one of Sustany‘s founders, I wanted to give you a few highlights.  We have four dozen vendors with everything from craft beer, wines, chocolates, locavore samples (both vegetarian and not), and even pizza!  With more vendors than ever this year you will be able to sample so many foods and beverages you may not be able to try them all!
The Sustainable Buzz benefits the Sustany Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the Bay area’s livability by promoting a culture of sustainability.  We focus on Quality of Life, Quality of Place, and Quality of Community.
Our programs include The City of Tampa Green Business Designation Program.  Our Sustainable Business Program matches  masters level students from UT and USF to give them real world work experience with sustainability in businesses.  We also give mini-grants to programs like Nature’s Academy, educating our youth through exploring the bays and shorelines and Hope Growers, who have installed many school gardens, educating children about where their food comes from.
Our Sustany volunteers keep the Davis Island Sea Basin clean, and we help connect organizations and community resources to increase our quality of life by making “sustainability” – no matter what it means to you or your organization – accessible.

Thanks for all you do to preserve the quality of life for future generations … and see you tonight!
